The application for development of the Clouds Hill Farm site is due to be considered at the next Elmbridge Planning Committee meeting on Wednesday 25 March.
The Planning Officer has recommended approval for the development:
(170 pages here https://edocs.elmbridge.gov.uk/IAM/IAMCache/4826798/4826798.pdf).
The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at the Elmbridge Civic Centre commencing at 7pm and Clouds Hill Farm is the second item on the agenda.
Members of the public can attend and observe but are not permitted to speak. Please come along if you wish to show your support and to see how our councillors reach a decision. All of our three local Elmbridge councillors are Committee members but Cllr Alan Parker is away so will be replaced by Cllr Katerina Lusk from Cobham.
You can register to attend via this link:https://www.elmbridge.gov.uk/councillors-and-decision-making/council-meetings
You can also watch the meeting live over video through the link above.
There is much in the Planning Officer’s report we do not agree with but the system is not designed to give local residents a fair hearing. Objectors are allowed a 3 minute speaking slot so there will only be an opportunity to speak to a small number of our concerns. FEDORA has registered to take the speaking slot. We have been working with them and our advisers to agree how best to use this limited time.
